About the Institute
What Do We Do Here?
At the Shakespearean Psychological institute, we provide psychological counseling and life coaching to various Shakespearean characters. By combining elements of psychodynamic, cognitive- behavioral, and sociocultural therapy approaches, we are able to tailor a unique therapy experience for each of our clients based on their individual needs. We provide outpatient therapy and accommodations to our clients, enabling them to continue living their lives while in treatment. Because each of Shakespeare's characters is different, we believe that being able to take such a varied and compassionate approach at our center is crucial to the mental health and the success of each of our clients.
Who Are Our Clients?
Each of our clients is a character from one of William Shakespeare's plays. We take client applications from characters of any of his plays, including those from histories, comedies, and tragedies. For obvious reasons, we draw most of our clients from the tragic plays. Most of our clients come to us because they are struggling with emotional and situational stressors that they find difficulty in dealing with by themselves. Of course, some of our clients come to us with pre-existing mental disorders, but many are coming to us due to the emergence of new symptoms and struggles in their lives.
How Does this Institute Work?
Each of our clients come to us during some point in their respective plots, and sometimes even before they begin. Clients may come to our center themselves, or may be referred by a friend or family member. Our therapists see our clients only as they come for sessions, and do not have a knowledge of any future developments of their plots (we do, after all, exist only in the present tense).
Who Are Our Therapists and Professionals?
We are proud to have skilled team of professionals, and an entire body of literary criticism and research to back them. Several members of our team are authorized within our practice to provide the public with therapy logs, and developing ideas throughout sessions with their clients. Our therapists consult with peers and advisers within our center in order to pinpoint more accurate diagnoses and to create broader and more informed therapy decisions.
And Finally...
Please remember that this is a fictional institute that is intended to be received in a satirical manner. While the thought and planning that went into this is real, it has a foot in true facts; any diagnoses are completely a result of a reader's interpretation and should not be appreciated as fact.
